He was Vice Dean and Director of the Department of Journalistic Projects at the Faculty of Communication at the University of Navarra until he joins the University of La Coruña in 1999. Since then, he held his task as a teacher at the Faculty of Communication where he was promoter and first dean with diverse editorial and management responsibilities in the Voz de Galicia Corporation:
Director of "Escuela de Medios" (1999), Director of Commuication (2002) and today the director of Santiago Rey Fernández-Latorre Foundation.
This Foundation was established to give continuity to the property and the editorial line of the newspaper La Voz de Galicia, which was the first Spanish newspaper not edited in Madrid or Barcelona and to their company group of communication.
He also directed the Master in Production and Audiovisual Management at the University of Coruña.
He was also a visiting professor in several dozens of universities and newspapers all over the world. He is a regular columnist at La Voz de Galicia and author of numerous well-thought research works, among which books such as "Miguel Delibes, periodista" (Madrid, Destino), "La entrevista periodística. Introducción práctica" (5th edition) or co-author of "Discurso tipos de texto y comunicación" (2nd edition, Pamplona, Eunsa, 1994).
